The mission of this research consortium is to advance in the knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases, in order to lay the foundations for new therapeutic approaches. We understand our research activity in a collaborative effort that provides help and services to other social agents for the benefit of the patient.
Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's disease and Friedreich's ataxia have a high personal and socioeconomic cost. Being distinct, the metabolic alterations of the affected brain regions are similar. The in-depth study of these metabolic alterations will help to prevent or reverse the onset or progress of this neurodegenerative pathology.
